Benefits

About The Practice Room
  • Improve your students sight singing.
  • Let students practice on their own.
  • Reinforce the work you do in rehearsals.

Practice Tools

Each example also has a tune up and a steady beat to practice to.
Not sure what note to start on? Use the Tune Up tool to help establish a sense of the key and find the first note.
Use the Steady Beat tool to learn to practice effectively in time.

Hear the Answer!

There are hundreds of sight singing books out there loaded with hundreds of examples. But books fail in one key area: They do not provide feedback on how a student is doing.
After working on an example, they can click Hear the Answer to see how they did.
While nothing can replace a good teacher, online audio answers provide an effective alternative so students can check their work.

Four Types of Examples.

  • Rhythmic Reading
  • Sight Singing
  • Two Part Sight Singing
  • Interval Drills

The levels increase in difficulty gradually, introducing new skills at the beginning of each level. A student can start wherever they like and work at their own pace.
